Memphis-Area Joint Engineers Council (MJEC) is an umbrella organization for engineering organizations and engineering educational institutions in the Memphis area. MJEC has a membership of all members of these local chapters/sections and is governed by a Board of Directors composed of two representatives from each participating organization.
The MJEC is composed of representatives from over 15 Memphis-area engineering professional organizations and higher educational institutions.
The MJEC assists in the coordination of Engineers Week by providing communication among engineering organizations and assuming responsibility for various awards and events.
The MJEC hosts an annual Student Contest where middle and high school students present engineering design projects to local engineering professionals and educators.
